Ecotoxicology

The HEHS Center offers a wide range of laboratory ecotoxicology services. Studies are conducted for research purposes and/or following appropriate standard guidelines : OECD, EPA, ISO, ASTM.

Terrestrial & Sediment Ecotoxicology

Our testing package includes acute and chronic laboratory tests on microoganisms, plants, enchytraeids, collembolan and earthworm.

Capacities:

  • Earthworm Acute toxicity test (OECD 207)
  • Earthworm Reproduction test (OECD 222)
  • Bioaccumulation in Terrestrial Oligochaetes (OECD 317)
  • Soil quality: Earthworm Avoidance test (ISO 17512-1:2008)
  • Enchytraeids Reproduction Test (OECD 220)
  • Inhibition of Reproduction of Collembola (ISO 11267)
  • Vegetative Vigour Test (OECD 227)
  • Seedling Emergence and Seedling Growth (OECD 208)

Aquatic Ecotoxicology

Our testing package includes acute and chronic laboratory tests on algae, aquatic macrophytes, invertebrates and fish embryo.

Capacities:

  • Daphnia sp. Acute immobilization Test (OECD 202)
  • Daphnia magna Reproduction Test (OECD 211)
  • Seed Germination Test (US EPA 1996
  • Growth inhibition effects on the duckweed Spirodela polyrhiza (ISO 20227)
  • Fish Embryo Acute Toxicity (FET) Test (OECD 236)
  • Freshwater Alga Growth Inhibition Test (OECD 201)
  • Acute Toxicity Test with the rotifer Brachionus calyciflorus (ASTM E1440-91)

Marine Ecotoxicology

The testing package includes acute and chronic laboratory tests on algae, rotifers and crustacean.

Capacities:

  • Acute Toxicity Test with the rotifer Brachionus plicatilis (ASTM E1440-91)
  • Acute Toxicity Test with the anostracan crustacean Artemia salina (ASTM E1440-91)
  • Growth inhibition test with marine alga Phaeodactylum tricornutum (ISO 10253)

Biodegradation in the Environment

Biodegradiation test simulating environmental condition in marine, soil and freshwater ecosystems.

  • Ready biodegradation (OECD 301F)
